High Bills

Does your account seem high?

If you have noticed an increase in your energy costs and are finding them difficult to explain, the following are some of the common causes that contribute to an increase in an account.

1. The Weather
Cold, wet weather often means you use the heater more than you usually would. Hot periods can mean your air conditioner needs to work harder, and consume more power, to function.

2. New, upgraded or replaced appliances
Do you have any new appliances?  Perhaps you've added new office equipment, or machinery?

3. Faulty or inefficient appliances

Check that all appliances and machinery are running efficiently.  This is especially important for anything that has a thermostat.  A faulty thermostat can cause the appliance to run more often than it usually would.

4. Is your Account estimated?
