Energy cost savings shown in this tool are estimates only and based on:
- The information you have entered into the calculator about your energy usage
- Energy consumption of individual appliances from a 2007 TRUenergy study of 250 residential houses with an average of 3 occupants per house.
Electricity cost estimates are indicative only and based on:
- Peak Standing Offer Tariffs (in VIC) or regulated tariffs (outside VIC) associated with the postcode of your supply address
- The assumption of using a ‘peak anytime’ electricity meter in VIC, NSW, SA, QLD and ACT.
Gas costs estimate are indicative only and based on:
- Winter Standing Offer Tariffs for Victoria and regulated tariffs for NSW, SA and ACT
- The prices are associated with the postcode of your supply address.
