Stakeholder Consultation
Consultation with the local Illawarra community is immensely valuable in helping TRUenergy gain a greater understanding of local needs, priorities and expectations.
We have been meeting and talking with representatives of the local community, including Council, government agencies, community groups and neighbours, since 2003. In addition, the Tallawarra Community Liaison Group meets every two months to provide invaluable local knowledge into our formal planning process.
With the assistance of the Community Liaison Group, TRUenergy has developed a vision for the development of Tallawarra Lands:

- Provide opportunities to appreciate more about the natural qualities of the site
- Accessible open spaces that focus on the connection with the lake and provide for a range of recreational needs

- A quality residential component that capitalises upon and complements the unique scenic and environmental qualities of the site
- Engagement processes that create high level community acceptance and ownership over project outcomes.
- A project that returns value to TRUenergy and enhances the company’s corporate reputation
In addition, we provide the broader community with opportunities for input through regular community information channels, including community information sessions, media reports in local papers, community partnerships and sponsorships and newsletters to residents within the vicinity of the Tallawarra site.
Feedback from stakeholders is continually fed back into our panning process and will continue to inform our plans for the Tallawarra Lands site.
